Lil Duval is a stage name given to Roland Powell, who is an American stand-up comedian and recording artist. He is from Jacksonville, Florida, and not only a comedian and recording artist but also a singer, rapper, and writer. He adopted the name Lil Duval to pay homage to his birthplace, Duval County, Florida. Duval graduated from First Coast High School after which, he relocated to Atlanta, Georgia. His music style is defined as Hip Hop.
As a solo artist, Duval released his first solo single and music video on April 1, 2014, which was entitled "Wat Dat Mouf Do?". It featured Trae the Truth. He then released "Smile Bitch (Living My Best Life)" featuring Snoop Dogg and Ball Greezy, in 2018. This single peaked at number 56 on the Billboard Hot 100. In 2005, Duval was a finalist on BET's comedy competition series known as Coming to the Stage. He is also a series regular to the MTV2 shows Hip Hop Squares and Guy Code.
Duval also served as a host from 2013 to 2014 for the video show Ain't That America on MTV2.
