Lenny Clarke Information
Lenny Clarke (September 16, 1953) is an American comedian and actor well-known for his thick Boston accent. Clarke was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts, and has played Uncle Teddy on the series Rescue Me. During the 1980s, Clarke was the most famous “saloon comic” in Boston, the heyday of the Boston comedy scene. He wrote and starred in a local television show entitled “Lenny Clarke’s Late Show” in 1980.
Clarke starred in a network sitcom named “Lenny” in 1990. Some of the other TV shows he starred in include “It’s All Relative,” “The John Larroquette Show,” “The Job,” and “Contest Searchlight.” Clarke played “Ron Abbot” on the short-lived Fox comedy series named “The Winner” in 2007. He has written for a few projects such as Nothin’ Goes Right (1985), The Sunday Comics (1991), and Comedy Central Presents (2002). As a producer, Clarke worked on the 2002 famous fictional comedy series entitled “Contest Searchlight.”
Throughout Clarke’s successful career, he has been featured in several hit films, including Smart Alex (1987), The Wrong Guys (1988), Two If by Sea (1996), Meet Wally Sparks (1997), Monument Ave (1997), Southie (1997), Getting Personal (1998), There’s Something About Mary (1998), What’s the Worst That Could Happen (2001), Moonlight Mile (2002), Stuck On You (2003), Just Another Story (2003), Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events (2004), The Child King (2007), and What Doesn’t Kill You (2008).
