Kira Soltanovich ( September 15, 1973) is an American entertainer, writer, and actress born in Lviv, Ukraine. Soltanovich began performing stand-up comedy in 1998 after growing up in San Francisco. After earning a theatrical degree from San Diego State University, she relocated to Los Angeles to focus on comedy full-time.
Soltanovich rose to fame as the voice of a talking picture booth in a joke on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Jay Leno Show, and she also appeared in the prank-oriented reality show Girls Behaving Badly, which ran on the Oxygen Network for four seasons. Jimmy Kimmel Live, Carson Daly's Last Call, Last Comic Standing, Hello Ross!, and The World Stands Up on Comedy Central are among the shows where she has done stand-up comedy. Former Disney stars Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez (for the program PrankStars) are among the clients of Soltanovich's writing services. Other clients include Scott Baio and Joan Rivers.
In her podcast, The Kira Soltanovich Show, she chats with other comedians who are parents about all things comedy, including baby colic. Her three-year-old son inspired the show. Soltanovich appeared on Hot Tamales Live, a 2010 Showtime special, and filmed Here Comes Trouble, a 2011 Laugh Out Loud Festival half-hour comedy spectacular. She self-produced and made her 2016 special, You Did This to Me, while she was seven months pregnant. Soltanovich made her television debut that year as the host of the game show Winsanity.
