John Heffron Information
John Heffron (July 19, 1970) is an American stand-up comic. He began his comedic career while attending Eastern Michigan University, where he skipped night classes to do stand-up comedy. He received his first job as an emcee at the University of Michigan's Main Street Comedy Showcase. After graduation, Heffron quickly began working in his chosen sector, touring the college circuit and performing at over 80 performances per year. He was already a seasoned comic with over four years of experience.
By 25, Heffron had established himself as a successful headliner comic. He put his communications and psychology degrees to good use by joining Danny Bonaduce's widely rated Q95-5 Detroit radio morning show, his radio sidekick. He spent five years working in Detroit before returning to Los Angeles and settling in Hollywood.
Heffron has been on NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, CBS's The Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn, two Comedy Central Presents specials, and two seasons of Last Comic Standing, among other shows. In season 2, he was crowned Last Comic Standing. He was also a regular on several VH1 shows, including My Coolest Years: My First Time and I Love The 80s. In the fall of 2006, he went on the Real Men of Comedy tour with Charlie Murphy and Joe Rogan, sponsored by Maxim and Bud Light.
