Jimmy Shin has spent his entire life blending his musical and humorous skills. After finishing law school at California Western, Shin chose to pursue a more lighthearted career. His humor is fresh and edgy at the same time. Shin, a master of the art of entertaining a large group of people with his brand of witty storytelling, is a hit wherever he performs.
Following his 2005 win as "Rookie Comedian of the Year" at the Seattle International Comedy Competition, Shin was encouraged to relocate to Los Angeles by the competition's producer, Ron Reid. Shin's parents wanted him to go to law school, but he took a chance and moved to Los Angeles to become a comedian instead.
Since relocating to the Los Angeles area, Shin has been doing stand-up across the country and producing shows at renowned venues such as The World Famous Comedy Store, Hollywood Improv, and The Laugh Factory. At Levity Lives, Improvs, and Comedy Stores all around California, he has performed to sold-out crowds as the headliner. In addition, he has shared the stage alongside the likes of Iliza Shlesinger, Bill Burr, Jamie Kennedy, Craig Robinson, Theo Von, Nikki Glasser, and many others. He finally found success after making three appearances on The Tonight Show.
