Jamali Maddix (April 8, 1991) is an English stand-up comedian. His father is Jamaican, whereas his mother’s father belonged to Greece. For many years, Maddix believed that his mother’s father is Italian that he revealed during an episode of Big Eats by Big Zuu recorded on December 12, 2019. He was born and currently lives in Ilford, Essex. Maddix is notably known for winning the Chortle Student Comedian of the Year award in 2014. He hosted a documentary entitled Hate Thy Neighbor, based on extremism, in 2016. The documentary was produced in partnership with Vice. In some of the episodes, Maddix was even physically confronted by the people he had interviewed.
Hate Thy Neighbor is a Viceland series that featured Maddix. He used to go on tours and interview members of hate groups such as the EDL, Black Hebrew Israelites, Nordic Youth, Azov, and NSM. Maddix has also appeared on series 11 of Taskmaster. It started broadcasting in March 2021. Maddix came in fourth place in that game show.
