The journey of Hiplet Ballerinas began with Homer Hans Bryant and was created in the early ’90s. The ballet was named “The Rap Ballet” and was set to rap music. The managers had girls doing the “running man” style along with some other popular dances on point. Tovah was one of the top dancers who got a job with the UniverSoul Circus in 2005. Since then, the ballet began to play around with different hip-hop moves. This ultimately ended up with the creation of Hiplet, which Bryant trademarked the name Hiplet in 2009.
