Great bluegrass albums were released in the 1950s and 1960s and are fondly remembered by many. The intensity and passion of that song have moved people all over the world. Only a handful of bands have emerged in the past few decades that explicitly reference that seminal period in rock's canon. High Fidelity is an up-and-coming band with an unparalleled dedication to their music. High Fidelity is a self-explanatory brand name. How often do you encounter those words on record albums from the '50s and '60s? This is the essence of the young performers' mission.
In February of 2014, at the 40th Annual Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music in America (SPBGMA) Awards, the band, which had only been together since January, won the International Band Championship. They were nominated for "New Artist of the Year" by the International Bluegrass Music Association in 2019.
Five exceptional musicians and singers raised on traditional music make up the ensemble. Guitarist/lead singer Jeremy Stephens has previously performed with The Chuck Wagon Gang, Ray Stevens' Nashville, and Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys. Musicians like Jesse McReynolds & the Virginia Boys and Jim Lauderdale, who rely on traditional approaches to bluegrass, have collaborated with fiddler and harmony singer Corrina Rose Logston.
