The hosts of the Telehit television program Guerra de Chistes (Joke Wars), Radames de Jesus, Juan Carlos Casasola, Juan Carlos El Borrego Nava, and La Wanders Lover, crack jokes throughout the show and welcome special guests on each episode. The actor Aitor Iturrioz, Radamés de Jess, and Juan Carlos Casasola had originally planned to use the idea, but Iturrioz later dropped out. Radamés and Casasola then contacted Juan Carlos "El Borrego" Navato to join the new production.
On May 8, 2008, Guerra de Jostes debuted its first episode on the Telehit music network with the actress Yuliana Peniche as the guest. The programme was hosted by "El Borrego" Nava and Radamés de Jess. Juan Carlos Casasola, meantime, was unable to make it to the first program and didn't show up until the next. Yered Licona, or "La Wanders Lover," Radames' former boyfriend, also participated as the program's sex symbol. The show even featured a special named El Senote de Oro, where awards were given to the year's top performances. The mentioned special was presented twice, once in 2009 and once in 2011.
