Greg Behrendt Information
Gregory Behrendt (July 21, 1963) is an American author and comedian. He was born in San Francisco, California. Behrendt received his Bachelor of Arts in theater from the University of Oregon in 1991, despite having entered the school intending to study business and play rugby. After finishing college, Behrendt relocated to San Francisco, where he joined an improv group and eventually met fellow comedian Margaret Cho. He got his start doing stand-up and improv in the Bay Area. He was in an improv group called Crash and Burn with other people like Margaret Cho.
He then appeared on Conan O'Brien's Late Night and The Tonight Show. In January 2006, Comedy Central aired his stand-up special, Greg Behrendt is Uncool. In 2004, Behrendt co-authored the self-help book He's Just Not That Into You with Liz Tuccillo. A film with the same name, starring Drew Barrymore and produced by Flower Films/Warner Bros., premiered on February 6, 2009.
His wife, Amiira Ruotola-Behrendt, co-wrote the book It's Called a Breakup Because It's Broken. Author of the book It's Just a Date! within the borders of the United Kingdom. After premiering on September 12, 2006, his daily daytime "self-help" talk show, The Greg Behrendt Show, was canceled by Sony Pictures Television four months later in January 2007 and aired its final fresh episodes in February 2007.
