He decided to pursue a career in humor rather than professional sports, which has paid off. He was selected as a New Face in comedy at the Just For Laughs Festival, won the Laughing Skull Comedy Festival, and placed in the finals of the Big Sky Festival.
He has appeared on SyFy's The Movie Show, Comedy Central, Comics Unleashed, and Amazon Prime's Killer Kate! Additionally, he has appeared as a guest on several well-known podcasts, including Doug Loves Movies and the nationally syndicated Bob and Tom Radio Show. His comedy album with 800 Pound Gorilla Records, "Scheduled Fun Time," debuted at number one and has been played on many SiriusXM channels.
In addition to writing for the Huffington Post, he starred in and co-wrote the short film Interview Date, which was nominated for an Academy Award for best short film. Several websites have featured Grant's sketch films on their home pages, including Funny or Die, MSN, Huffington Post, and others. He has appeared in numerous national advertisements for brands like AT&T, Johnsonville Sausage, CiCi's Pizza, and Sam Adams, among others.
In 2020, 25th Century Games released Curmudgeon, his first board game. Grant, a passionate fan of board games, offers a weekly series of amusing and brief films about great games on his YouTube channel called Grant's Game Recs.
