Gerry Dee Information
Gerry Dee (December 31, 1968) is a Canadian stand-up comedian and actor born in Scarborough, Ontario. Dee attended St. Gabriel’s and De La Salle College, Oakland. After completing his education, he began doing stand-up comedy. Dee has a comedy special on The Comedy Network in Canada, appeared in the Comedy Network Special named “The Nubian Disciples,” and has also performed at the world-famous Montreal Just for Laughs International Comedy Festival. One of his segments even aired on Just For Laughs.
Garry Dee has been featured in different television commercials and performed at multiple comedy clubs, including Yuk Yuks and Just For Laughs. In 2006, Dee had a role in the 2006 film “Trailer Park Boys: The Movie.” He played the role of Donny in that film. For the fifth season of Last Comic Standing, Dee earned third place. He has had a segment on the Canadian cable channel named The Score, since late 2007. The sections had included Gerry Dee: Sports Reported. He also conducts humorous interviews in this segment. So far, he has interviewed many sports personalities such as Chris Bosh, Randy Couture, Cito Gaston, Wayne Gretzky, Michael Jordan, and Charles Barkley.
Dee has appeared in several television commercials for Nissan, KFC, Wisers, and Rogers. Currently, he is appearing as a guest on The Hour of CBC. In 2008, Dee won the Canadian Comedy Award for the Best Male Stand-Up comic category. He also premiered his sitcom entitled “Mr. D” in January 2012 on CBC Television.
