George Willborn Information
George Vernon Willborn II, born on January 8th, started in the entertainment industry in 1992 as the house MC at Chicago's All Jokes Aside. The original African-American comedy club in Chicago was All Jokes Aside. He made friends with and performed alongside many of the greatest names in comedy, including Jamie Foxx, Bernie Mac, and Steve Harvey.
Willborn spent seven years on All Jokes Apart, becoming known as... The Stress Reliever!! From there, Willborn's career flourished, and he has since been in numerous national theater shows and at countless Funny Bones and Improvs. When "Chi-raq" was released by Spike Lee in 2015, Willborn had a small supporting role.
Clear Channel's WVAZ V103 launched Willborn's radio career in 1996 with The Mond Squad (John, Bonnie, and George) from 1996 until 2006. From 2006 to 2008, Willborn traveled from Chicago to Washington, DC, for his roles as a co-host on the afternoon Michael Baisden Show (2006-2013) and the morning The Real DC Morning Show, WHUR (2006-2008). Then, Willborn returned to his radio roots by co-hosting the Doug Banks Show on WVAZ V103 from 2 to 6 p.m. Central Standard Time (CST).
