Eddie Pepitone (November 5, 1958) is an American stand-up comedian and character actor. He was born in Brooklyn, New York City. Pepitone is a mainstay of the L.A. comedy scene and has earned the label of "cult favorite." Known for his frequent cameos as the "New York City Heckler" in the audience on Late Night with Conan O'Brien and Conan, as well as his early performances on the WTF with Marc Maron podcast, he is now a regular guest on both shows. In addition, he has appeared regularly on shows like The Life & Times of Tim, The Sarah Silverman Program, and Nick Swardson's Pretend Time.
To begin with, Pepitone competed in the inaugural season of Last Comic Standing. Pepitone was a frequent contributor to the sketch comedy segment of Late Night with Conan O'Brien in the late '90s and early '00s. To name just a few of his cinematic credits, he has been in The Muppets, Old School, School for Scoundrels, and Terri. The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in Los Angeles is a regular stop for Pepitone's stand-up comedy shows. Many comedy shows have used Pepitone as a guest star, including Bob's Burgers, The King of Queens, and The Chappelle's Show, among others.
The anguished Eddie Pepitone plays in the Adult Swim comedy Your Pretty Face is Going to Hell. The June 2020 release of his stand-up special For the Masses was met with widespread acclaim. According to the New York Times' December 2020 review, it was the year's funniest variety show.
