Double Dare Live is a production by Nickelodeon Suites Resort that began on May 21, 2012, in Orlando as a live-stage presentation during the night. Double Dare Live is a part of Double Dare, which is an American TV game show that originated in 1986. The game show underwent many major revivals, including the 2000 restoration and then the most recent one, the June 25, 2018, revival. This show was premiered on Nickelodeon originally on October 6th, 1986. It was the most-watched program daily on cable TV.
Double Dare Live is a part of the Studio Nick and a distinctive feature of the hotel where the Double Dare Live shows exclusively entertained guests at the resort. The live show was meant to revise various entertaining versions of the original show, Double Dare. These revisions included music remixes, obstacle courses, physical challenges, and much more.
Double Dare Live follows the same pattern of the original TV show having eight contestants to participate as the playing teams. The physical challenges were performed by the new live audience throughout the show. The live program continued to cheer the guests until June 1st, 2016, when the Nickelodeon Suites Resort in Orlando was rebranded and named as a Holiday Inn Resort.
The live show is now shifted to Mall of America, where it is presented at Nickelodeon Universe as a “Double Dare Challenge.” The show since ran with gaps such as from June 13 to September 24, 2016, then from June 16 to September 30, 2017, and again on March 16, 2018, till mid-October. The recently held show as Double Dare Challenge ran from March 23 till April 20, 2019. The very lastly held show ended on August 25, 2019, that returned for 'NickUSummer.'
