Using the drag persona of Dixie Longate, actor, writer, comedian, and drag performer Kris Andersson has been touring five nations since 2007 with her one-woman show, Dixie's Tupperware Party, where she uses audience participation to sell real Tupperware products.
In 2004, Andersson's companion dared her to try selling Tupperware as "Dixie," a character she created for the purpose. As a result of taking on the task, Andersson became Tupperware's top sales representative in the United States and Canada while simultaneously creating the show.
After spending three months in residence at New York's Ars Nova theater in 2007 to develop his performance and character, Andersson was nominated for a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Solo Performance the following year. Additionally, Andersson has made guest appearances on TV and film as "White Pepper," most notably in the 2004 film Hellbent.
