Deon Cole (January 9, 1972) is an American actor, comedian, and writer. Cole was born in Roseland, which is in the neighborhood of Chicago. He began his comedy career with a $50 bet. A friend of his bet to give $50 poking him to get up on the stage for one night in Chicago.
Cole was one of the writing staff members at The Tonight Show with Conan O'Brien (2009-2010). He also worked as a writer for Conan (2010-2012). Cole performed on "Comic Aide Haiti" in February 2010. It was a comedy performance to benefit victims of the 2010 Haiti earthquake. Cole was part of the cast of Angie Tribeca (2016-2018) and is currently a part of a TV ad campaign. This campaign is for Old Spice body wash.
Deon Cole: Cole Hearted, a stand-up special released on Netflix in October 2019. He won the Doris Award on the ABC edition of To Tell the Truth on June 25, 2020, making him only the second panelist to do so. Cole participated in, To Tell the Truth on June 25, 2020 and earned the Doris Award, becoming the second panelist to do so. He appeared in movies 2023: The Color Purple and A Snowy Day in Oakland. Currently, he is the lead in Average Joe.
