David Cross Information
David Cross (April 4, 1964) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, screenwriter, and filmmaker. Cross is most well-known for his stand-up appearances, the HBO sketch comedy series Mr. Show with Bob and David (1995–1998), and his portrayal of Tobias Fünke in the Fox/Netflix sitcom Arrested Development ( 2003–2006, 2013– 2019). Cross started his career on professional television working as a writer on The Ben Stiller Show.
He was employed by the show at its conclusion, and he sporadically made brief appearances in the skits. He spoke in "The Legend of T.J. O'Pootertoot," a cartoon nearly wholly created by Cross. He produced Run Ronnie Run with Mr. Show director and producer Troy Miller and Odenkirk, based on a character. Episodes of a new sketch comedy program featuring Cross and Odenkirk called W/ Bob & David were commissioned in April 2015.
Released in 2018 via the BritBox streaming service, he developed the eight-episode dark comedy series Bliss. Stephen Mangan plays Andrew, a fake travel writer trying to keep long-term relationships with two partners, Kim and Denise (Jo Hartley), who are unaware of one another. Cross supplied the "white voice" for the primary character in the science fiction comedy Sorry to Bother You (2018).
