Dana Carvey (June 2, 1955) is an American actor, comedian, producer, and screenwriter. He is from Missoula, Montana. Dana Thomas Carvey is the birth name to Dana Carvey, who is widely famous for being a cast member on “Saturday Night Live” (1986-1993). This show earned him a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Performance in a Variety or Music Program (from straight-six consecutive nominations). He got his very first drum kit when he was very young. Carvey is on no.9 position in the list of the 100 Greatest Stand-Ups of All Time on Comedy Central
His official career began with a minor role in Halloween II (1981). Carvey also co-starred in a short-lived television sitcom, One of the Boys (1982). Some of the films and other entertainment shows in which he appeared with minor roles include This Is Spinal Tap, song "Lucky" (music video), Blue Thunder (TV series), Tough Guys, Wayne's World, Clean Slate, and a few more. He was also chosen as a finalist for the Double Dare hosting role, a Nickelodeon TV game show, but withdrew his name due to Saturday Night Live casting.
Carvey also owned a show on ABS named The Dana Carvey Show (1996), which was a short-lived prime-time variety show. He also performed spy comedy in the film The Master of Disguise and next in 2011's Jack and Jill, which was stated to be one of the worst comedies of all time.
He was also sighted in the 2008 MTV Movie Awards as well as in Funny or Die (original comedy sketch Presidential Reunion), Spoof, Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend (podcast guest), Dana Carvey: Squatting Monkeys Tell No Lies, Live with Kelly, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$, and many more.
