Craig Ferguson (May 17, 1962) is a Scottish-American television host, writer, actor, and comedian born in Glasgow, Scotland. Ferguson started in music and comedy in the UK before moving to the US to play Nigel Wick on ABC's The Drew Carey Show (1996-2004). On Long Island, close to New York City, he saw an uncle for the first time when he was 13 years old in 1975.
Ferguson hosted ABC's American game show The Hustler from January 2021 to April 2022. This game show followed five participants as they worked together to solve a series of trivia questions offered by Ferguson in exchange for a cash prize, with one of the contestants being identified as the Hustler in advance and given the correct answers.
Craig Ferguson hosted a new half-hour, syndicated late-night discussion show for Sony Pictures Television (SPT) in January 2023. Whisper North will develop Channel Surf alongside Craig Ferguson, while SPT will be responsible for distribution. SPT shot a pilot for Channel Surf starring Craig Ferguson in London's Dock10 studios, and the company will soon be pitching the project to networks in Los Angeles.
