Colin Kane (October 17, 1979) is an American actor, comedian, and writer mainly known for his in-your-face style of off-the-cuff crowd work. Born in New York City, he grew up in Rockville Center on Long Island, New York, with his two siblings and parents. Kane attended high school at Avon Old Farms in Connecticut. After completing high school, he went to Lynn University and ultimately returned to New York City to pursue his comedic career.
Currently, Colin Kane resides in Los Angeles, and he has been performing since 2002. His growth is primarily due to word-of-mouth from his dedicated fan base. Kane describes his comedy as an unlikely blend of authentic heart, piercing bite, rated act, race, sex, relationships. He has had his shows regularly at Gotham Comedy Club, Comix, and Caroline’s.
Colin Kane has been a frequent guest on the Opie and Anthony Show. He has toured many major cities in the United States, including Washington D.C, Chicago, Philadelphia, Boston, and Los Angeles. He has performed for US military personnel through the Wounded Warrior Project and Stockholm Comedy Festival.
Kane received recognition in 2010 as one of the “King of Zings” of the New York Post alongside Ricky Gervais and Jay Leno. Kane has also appeared in a film named “The Wedding Ringer” in a breakout role opposite Kevin Hart.
