American YouTube channel and streaming media show Cocomelon (also stylized as CoComelon) was purchased by British firm Moonbug Entertainment and is currently managed by American company Treasure Studio. Cocomelon is a company that produces 3D animation movies of children's songs, including both classic nursery rhymes and compositions. As of July 2021, they were both the most popular and most subscribed channel on YouTube in the United States and the most popular and most subscribed children's channel.
In Cocomelon's videos, human and nonhuman characters (including kids and pets) engage in everyday activities. Lyrics are shown consistently across all screens, at the very bottom. Treasure Studio began streaming Cocomelon shows on Roku, Hulu, and Netflix in 2020. The business also provides music via mainstream streaming platforms. Music videos, compilations, and live broadcasts are all types of content that may be found on YouTube. Cocomelon was launched on YouTube on September 1, 2006, to provide free educational and entertaining content for Cocomelon's creator, Jay Jeon, and his family.
The channel, which formerly went by the name "checkgate," debuted on YouTube with not one but two renditions of the alphabet song. The third video, "Learning ABC Alphabet — Letter "K" — Kangaroo Game," was posted nine months later. Most of the channel's alphabet-focused films lasted no more than two minutes.
