Farah Brown (October 9, 1972) is an American actress, comedian, and writer born in Newport News, Virginia. Professionally, she is known as Cocoa Brown. She graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University and received a Master of Science degree from The University of Phoenix in Secondary Education.
Brown has performed in several comedy stage shows, including ComicView of BET, Showtime at the Apollo, and One Mic Stand. Brown began to appear on television as a guest and starring roles on Breaking Bad and ER.
Brown appeared in the Oprah Winfrey Network comedy series entitled “Tyler Perry’s For Better or Worse” in 2011, playing the role of Jennifer. The series continued for six seasons. Brown also played the leading role alongside Amy Smart, Zulay Henao, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Nia Long in the comedy-drama entitled The Single Moms Club.
In 2015, Brown appeared in a supporting role in a comedy film entitled “Ted 2.” She played the role of juror Jeanette “Queen B” Harris in the FX drama series “The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story” produced by Ryan Murphy. She has also appeared in many hit films throughout her career, including Brother’s Grim (2020), Lethal Procedures (2020), Happy Thanksgiving (2019), His, Hers & the Truth (2019), Ted 2 (2015), The Single Moms Club (2014), I Want Candy (2010), Dad’s Home (2010), Friendship! (2010), and Dukes and the Dutchess (2009).
