Christopher Reid Information
Christopher Reid (April 5, 1964) is an American comedian, rapper, and actor. He was born in The Bronx, New York. In 1982, he earned his diploma from Bronx High School of Science. After completing his undergraduate studies at Miles College, he earned a degree 1990 from Lehman College in the Bronx. He and fellow rapper/actor Christopher "Play" Martin formed the hip-hop duo Kid 'n Play, popular in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Reid's extreme hi-top fade hairdo made him stand out.
Reid has been a guest star on series like Martin and Sister, Sister, and he has also hosted talent competition programs like Your Big Break, and It's Showtime at the Apollo. To make a living, Reid performs stand-up comedy on the road. Reid's most recent musical contribution was the Real Time with Bill Maher theme tune. In 2008, he was also a contestant on the VH1 reality program Celebracadabra. To launch a solo career, he recently dropped a music video for a single titled "Why Don't You Stay," on which he raps and sings.
He had a role in the Asylum's successor to H.G. Wells' War of the Worlds, titled simply War of the Worlds 2: The Next Wave. The Dawn and Drew Show, Comics Unleashed, the New England Sports Network's Comedy All-Stars, and Slanted Comedy featured him as a speaker. On Supah Ninjas, he portrayed the character The Rhymer. He is also featured in LMFAO's "Sorry for Party Rocking" music video.
