Chris Gethard Information
Christopher Paul Gethard (May 23, 1980) is an American writer, comedian, and actor born in West Orange, New Jersey. He worked as the host of “The Chris Gethard Show,” based in New York City and aired from 2011 to 2018. He also hosts the podcast called “Beautiful Stories From Anonymous People.” Gethard is an improvisational actor who works for the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre of Manhattan. In 2000, while Gethard was also studying at Rutgers University, he began taking classes at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Gethard was asked by the Independent Film Channel in 2013 to write a pilot based on his book, and, for the first time in the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in August 2016, he performed his show “Career Suicide,” dealing with depression.
Gethard has also been featured in a 30-minutes YouTube documentary, “Laughing Matters,” on October 10, 2019. It was created by SoulPancake, where he collaborated with Funny or Die.
Gethard has appeared in many hit films since he started his career, including “M.A.S” (2005), May the Best Man Win (2009), Snoopy Lamp (2010), The Other Guys (2010), Adults (2011), A Novel Romance (2011), The Dictator (2012), Iron Man 3 (2013), The Angriest Man in Brooklyn (2013), The Heat (2013), Don’t Think Twice (2016), and Ghostbusters (2016).
