Chris Distefano Information
Christopher Paul Anthony Distefano (August 26, 1984) is an American comedian born in Brooklyn, New York. In 2002, Distefano played Division III basketball for St. Joseph's College in Brooklyn after being recruited by the school. Distefano was the leading scorer for his school's team, earning him a spot in the Hall of Fame this year. In 2010, Distefano graduated from the New York Institute of Technology with a Ph.D. in physical therapy. After graduating from physical therapy school, he worked with children until 2013, when he decided to focus on his standup comedy career instead.
Distefano tours the world frequently to play his music. In January 2019, Comedy Central aired Chris Distefano's debut hour-long standup special, Chris Distefano: Size 38 Waist, with a special introduction from Chazz Palminteri. In December 2018, he secured a contract with Comedy Central that comprised the special, the series Stupid Questions with Chris Distefano, and two additional series. This includes Chris Distefano's April 2019 weekly podcast, Standup with Chris Distefano.
Distefano, an avid sports fan, has hosted episodes of shows including MLB's Off The Bat and MSG's The Brackets. In 2021, the New York Mets invited him to throw out the first pitch, and in March of 2022, he and fellow comic Andrew Santino triggered the pre-game siren for the Vegas Golden Knights. In early April, Distefano was a guest on athlete and sports pundit Pat McAfee's show, The Pat McAfee Show.
