Chevy Chase Information
Chevy Chase is an American writer, comedian, and actor born in New York City. During the 1962–1963 academic year, he studied at Haverford College, where he became famous for his pratfalls and "sticking forks into his orifices" and other slapstick routines. In college, he and his buddies Walter Becker and Donald Fagen formed a band called The Leather Canary, where he played drums.
In 2010, he was in the critically acclaimed film Hot Tub Time Machine, the online short film featuring the Griswolds Family, and the original comedy sketch "Presidential Reunion" for Funny or Die, in which he played President Ford alongside other current and former SNL president impersonators. The Last Laugh, a Netflix film in which he co-starred with Richard Dreyfuss, premiered in 2019.
Chase returned to the character of Clark Griswold in the 2015 sequel dubbed Vacation. In contrast to the other four films, in which Clark plays a central role, he appears for only a brief but crucial cameo here. The film received some unfavorable reviews from critics, yet it was a financial success, earning over $107 million worldwide.
