Celeste Barber (May 6, 1982) is an Australian media personality and comedian. She was born in Sydney, Australia. Barber has starred on many TV shows, but her appearances as paramedic Bree Matthews on All Saints and her supporting roles in Office Correctness and How Not to Behave have brought her the most attention. For The Matty Johns Show, Barber was a writer and performer for various sketches. The film Burke & Wills, in which she starred, made it to the festival's final round in 2006. She has appeared on the Have You Been Paying Attention? panel and has hosted Studio 10, among other hosts.
Barber's background is in acting, but she accidentally discovered stand-up comedy. In 2015, she performed to packed houses at the Sydney Comedy and Fringe Festivals and made it to the state finals of the Melbourne International Comedy Festival's Raw Comedy competition. In September 2018, Barber published her debut novel, simply Celeste Barber - Challenge Accepted. Barber calls it "253 Steps to Being an anti-it girl." Celeste the Giraffe Loves to Laugh, Barber's second book, was released in October 2019.
Tom Ford launched a series of comedic short films starring Barber in September 2018. Ford teaches Barber how to walk in his shows while she tries to take some of the garments home in her luggage in these three Instagram videos shared by both parties. Ford's show kicked off New York Fashion Week, and this video was shown at the after-party.
