Cathy Gauthier (February 25, 1977) is a Quebec comedian born in Rouyn-Noranda. Gauthier completed her graduation from the National School of Humor in 1999. In 2003, she was named “Revelation of the Year” at the Just for Laughs Festival. After this, Gauthier began receiving invitations to participate in various Quebec shows, including Catherine, Les Chick’n Swell, Roxy, and Un Guy, Une Fille.
Between 2004 and 2006, Gauthier worked for the CKOI FM radio in Montreal. Gauthier worked at the notable show entitled “La Gang de Malais,” with Melanie Maynard, Real Beland Jr, and Sebastien Benoit. Her comedy shows present a raw tone in which, while being vulgar, she entertains her audience greatly. She is unique in her way, as this is something not every artist can do.
Cathy Gauthier also put on her first show in 2005 and was helped by Francois Avard and Dominique Michel. So far, the show has been performed over 200 times and watched by over 50,000 people. After her first show’s success, Gauthier has put on several other shows which have reached equal success.
