Carrot Top Information
Scott Thompson (February 25, 1965) is an American actor and standup comedian known professionally as Carrot Top. A local swimming coach gave this nickname due to his signature red hair. Thompson was born in Rockledge, Florida. He was raised in nearby Cocoa, Florida. Thompson attended Cocoa High School. He played drums in the concert marching group of the school. Being the son of a NASA engineer, after graduating in 1983, he went to Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton. Carrot Top appeared in his first standup comedy routine while a freshman at University.
Carrot Top has appeared in many television and online shows in his official career. Some of the most notable appearances were made in Space Ghost Coast to Coast, Larry the Cable Guy's Christmas Spectacular, Scrubs (2001), George Lopez, Gene Simmons Family Jewels, Criss Angel Mindfreak, The Jeep 4x4 Who Wanted to Fly (2005) and the list goes on. One of his hit film roles was in Chairman of the Board. Thompson also served in commercials as an ATT spokesman.
Thompson recorded a commentary track for The Rules of Attraction in 2002. Later in 2006, he appeared in the Reno 911! the famous episode entitled "Weigel's Pregnant." Carrot Top was the regular announcer for Cartoon Network from 1995 to 1999. He also starred and produced an early morning show named Carrot Top's AM Mayhem (1994 to 1996).
Carrot Top has made some notable appearances on several nighttime television talk shows. Carrot Top was soon on the Bradley Cooper in the episode of Between Two Ferns with Zach Galifianakis. He has been headlining at MGM Resorts International properties in Las Vegas, Nevada, since 2005. Thompson performs a regular show at the Luxor Hotel in Las Vegas as of 2021. He also has some other comedy engagements when Thompson's comedy show is not playing.
