Bruce Campbell Information
Bruce Lorne Campbell is an American voice actor, producer, actor, director, and writer from Royal Oak, Michigan. He began acting as his teenager, and soon Campbell was making short Super 8 movies and friends. After meeting Sam Raimi in Wylie E. Groves High School, the duo began making movies together. Later on, Campbell attended Western Michigan University while continuing to work on his initial acting career.
Campbell collaborated with Raimi on a version of the first Evil Dead movie, Within the Woods, which was initially used to attract investors. Soon the two young souls began work on The Evil Dead. Their hard work was followed with an endorsement by horror writer Stephen King, and the movie started slow distribution. After four years, the film became number one in the UK. Later, it received distribution in the United States and generated two sequels: Evil Dead II and Army of Darkness.
In many of Raimi's films, Campbell has appeared in the director's Spider-Man film series. His quirky roles include; Elvis Presley in the movie Bubba Ho-Tep, a supporting role in Maniac Cop and Maniac Cop 2, and featured roles in The Hudsucker Proxy. Campbell also had a starring voice role in the children's book Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Pixar's Cars 2.
Campbell's notable television roles include The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr., Xena: Warrior Princess, Homicide: Life on the Street, Goldrush: A Real Life Alaskan Adventure, Hercules: The Legendary Journeys, and My Life as a Teenage Robot. He has earned many notable awards so far, such as Fangoria Chainsaw Award 2004, Saturn Awards 2016, and Ashland Independent Film Festival 2007.
