Brian Scolaro Information
Brian Scolaro (October 18, 1973) is an American actor and comedian. He was born in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. Scolaro attended Archbishop Molloy High School in Jamaica, Queens. After graduating from college, Scolaro worked as a production assistant for HBO Downtown Productions, The Comedy Channel (now Comedy Central), and HBO's "Reel Sex" and worked with the mentally challenged in Brooklyn. Scolaro quit his assistant position and dedicated himself full-time to stand-up comedy, doing his first show on January 14, 1992, at Stand Up NY in Manhattan.
On Macdougal Street in Greenwich Village, he established himself as a stand-up comic at Gotham Comedy Club, Caroline's Comedy Club, Stand Up NY, Dangerfields, Comic Strip Live, Boston Comedy Club, Catch a Rising Star, and The Comedy Cellar. In 1999, he performed at the Just For Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal.
Scolaro was a frequent cast member on director Tom Shadyack's successful ABC pilot Platonically Incorrect with Tom Everett Scott in 2003. Darlene Hunt, Gabe Sax, and Jeff Judah wrote the pilot and even shot a second episode, but ABC decided not to bring it up after much consideration.
Scolaro had a recurrent part of the sad sack, forgetful Doug on TBS's Sullivan and Son in the first season, portrayed various characters on HBO's The Life and Times of Tim, and much more from 2008 to 2018.
