Brian Joseph Regan (June 2, 1958) is a standup comedian from the US who makes fun of himself with observational and biting comedy. He was born in Miami, Florida. He has become famous for using facial expressions and body language in his performances. They are typically clean since he avoids using profanity and sensitive topics in his performances.
Before making his television debut on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show in 1991, Regan began his career with standup comedy in the 1980s. After that, in 1997, Regan put out his debut standup CD, Brian Regan: Live, and he appeared on several talk shows, such as The Dennis Miller Show and Late Show with David Letterman.
He made his big screen debut in 2014's Top Five, a comedy directed by Chris Rock (2014). Peter Farrelly's dark comedy series Loudermilk, which stars Ron Livingston, cast Regan as Mugsy in 2017. The series has received rave reviews, earning a 92% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
According to creator Bobby Farrelly, "the performance [Regan] gives this year is the best performance on television this year" while describing Regan's dark, provocative portrayal of the program. In the same year, two standup specials—"Nunchucks and Flamethrowers" (2017) and "Standup and Away! with Brian Regan" (2018)—were released by Regan under a contract with Netflix and Jerry Seinfeld.
On the Rocks, Regan's standup special premiered on Netflix on February 23, 2021.
