Brene Brown Information

Casandra Brené Brown (November 18, 1965) is an American speaker, author, and radio host born in San Antonio, Texas. Her 2010 TEDx lecture and subsequent writings on shame, vulnerability, and leadership have garnered Brown much attention. In addition to hosting two Spotify podcasts, she has authored six novels that have been number one in the New York Times.

Her 2019 Netflix documentary appearance is Brené Brown: The Call to Courage. Her book Atlas of the Heart was adapted into a documentary series that premiered on HBO Max in 2022.

As a visiting professor of management at the University of Texas at Austin's McCombs School of Business and the Brené Brown Endowed Chair at the University of Houston's Graduate College of Social Work, Brown juggles many roles.

Including Daring Greatly, Braving the Wilderness, The Gifts of Imperfection, Dare to Lead, and Atlas of the Heart, she has authored six books that have reached number one on the New York Times bestseller list as of 2021.

On Super Soul Sunday in March 2013, she spoke about Daring Greatly with Oprah Winfrey. "Citizenship in a Republic," a lecture delivered at the Sorbonne by Theodore Roosevelt in 1910, inspired the book's title.
