Brandon Wardell Information
Brandon Wardell (September 5, 1992) is an American podcast host, writer, and comedian. He was born in Seattle, Washington. He grew up in Fairfax, Virginia, and attended Robinson Secondary School. Wardell was an active member of the ToonZone forum when he was a kid. After graduating from Robinson, Wardell enrolled at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond for a semester before pursuing stand-up comedy.
At the tender age of seventeen, Wardell began performing stand-up comedy in open mics in the Washington, D.C., area in early 2010. After gaining acclaim in his home region, Wardell was invited to play at SXSW in Austin, Texas, and the Bridgetown Comedy Festival in Portland, Oregon, in the spring of 2012. This led to an October 2012 profile in The Washington Post.
At about the same time, a Los Angeles-based agent read about Wardell in the Washington Post and decided to make him a part of his agency. Wardell accepted the conditions, left Virginia Commonwealth University after only two weeks, and relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy.
Bob Odenkirk heard Wardell perform on various podcasts and decided to include him on his live comedy album Amateur Hour, released in late 2014. Wardell may be heard on the album's first four tracks.
