Bob Eubanks Information
Robert Leland Eubanks (January 8, 1938) is an American television personality, game show host, and DJ. He is best known for being the host of the game show named “The Newlywed Game.” Eubanks was born in Flint, Michigan, although he was raised primarily in Pasadena, California. Growing up, he listened to various music, although his favorite musicians are Doc Watson and Frank Sinatra.
Eubanks was influenced by Bill Cullen, Buddy Hackett, Howard Hughes, and Cary Grant. He went to Pasadena High School and completed his studies in 1955. After high school, Eubanks attended Los Angeles Pierce College. Later on, he became a DJ and soon became one of California’s most popular DJs. In 1960, he joined KRLA to perform the overnight show in Pasadena. He was a producer for many notable concerts, such as the Beatles, during the 1960s and the Rolling Stones throughout the first two years of their American tour.
Eubanks has produced for Merle Haggard, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Dolly Parton, The Supremes, Barry Manilow, and many others. In 1989, he appeared in a documentary named “Roger & Me” by Michael Moore. He also appeared on the well-known television sitcom in 1992, “The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.” On the Los Angeles television channel, KTLA, he hosted the Tournament of Roses Parade with Stephanie Edwards from 1978-2005. In 2004, Eubanks’ autobiography named “It’s in the Book, Bob” was published.
