Ashley Gavin is an American podcast host, writer, and comedian best known for her podcast; We're Having Gay Sex. When she was a child, her father passed away. Gavin was a software engineer at MIT before turning to comedy. She eventually transitioned towards teaching computer science, acting as the organization's first curriculum director and an adjunct professor at Wesleyan University.
Bryn Mawr College awarded Gavin a Bachelor's degree. She earned an honors degree in computer science Magna Cum Laude. We're Having Gay Sex was chosen as one of the greatest LGBTQ+ podcasts to listen to in 2021 by Women's Health and one of the best queer podcasts by Buzzfeed. The program has featured guests like Francesca Farago from Too Hot To Handle, Demi Burnett from The Bachelor, and news journalist Megan Mitchell.
The show was named one of Paste Magazine's top comedy podcasts of 2020. A comedian from New York, Gavin hosts a weekly program called Sunday Sqool Comedy. She was the first openly homosexual comic for Carnival Cruiseline and has performed around the country. The television series "Gay Girl Straight Girl (GGSG)" stars Gavin.
