Adib Alkhalidey is a Canadian actor, director, singer, comedian, and songwriter born in Ouarzazate. The fact that Alkhalidey's father was not Moroccan meant that he and his sister were denied formal Moroccan identification certificates when they were born under the reign of Hassan II. This is why he and his family were forced to relocate to Quebec after only a brief time in the United States. In 2010, he completed his studies at the National School of Humor.
Radio and television commentator Adib Alkhalidey is also a stand-up comic. He has penned material for comedians, including Eddy King and Maxim Martin. He has three solo shows under his belt and was named the year's biggest surprise at the Gala Les Olivier and the Festival d'humour franco-québécois de Lourdes, respectively.
In October 2015, he caused a stir when he joked on Facebook about people voting while hiding their faces in a sack of potatoes to protest the niqab. In 2016, he co-founded a partnership with Virginie Fortin, Guillaume Wagner, and the band Sèxe Illégal to produce events and other artistic endeavors. That same year, they launched their first Dr. Mobilo Aquafest festival.
