Adam Jacobs Information
Adam Jacobs (May 17, 1984) is an American singer and actor born in Half Moon Bay, California. As early as the age of five, Jacobs enrolled in piano lessons at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. After eight years of playing, he became interested in musical theater. Jacobs was a frequent performer in high school and neighborhood theater productions. The American Conservatory Theater (ACT) in downtown San Fran and the California Institute of the Arts (CSSSA) in Valencia, California, hosted summer classes that he participated in to add to his existing body of knowledge.
After finishing up at Tisch, Jacobs worked in community theater and on cruise ships. Before he landed his first Equity production as Nanki-poo in the Marriott Theater's Hot Mikado, he toured the nation as the Prince in Into the Woods. For Jacobs, his big break came when he was cast as Marius in the national tour of Les Miserables, a character he also played in the Broadway revival. Jacobs has since appeared on Broadway in Mamma Mia! as Sky and The Lion King as Simba.
He also portrayed Daniel Beauxhomme in the Once on This Island production at Paper Mill Playhouse. Jacobs says he can portray many different roles because of his mixed Filipino-Jewish heritage. In 2011, Jacobs joined the original cast of Aladdin at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, playing the lead character.
