Reality Fighting Information
Reality Fighting has been around almost as long as NAGA, albeit under several promotion names (Rhode Island Vale Tudo and Mass Destruction). NAGA's MMA promotion is Reality Fighting. It was founded in 1998 as Rhode Island Vale Tudo. Tim Sylvia and Jorge Rivera, future UFC fighters, competed on that card. In RIVT2, these two were pitted against each other. Joe Lauzon, Mike Brown, Eddie Alvarez, Nick Serra, Dante Rivera, Thiago Alves, Kurt Pellegrino, Jeff Monson, Sean Gannon, and many more potential worldwide stars began their careers in our promotion.
Reality Fighting holds two events yearly at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut. The events include both emerging and renowned MMA fighters from New England and the eastern United States (both pro and amateur fighters). In recent years, competitors such as Matt Bessette, William Knight, and Joe Proctor have embraced Reality Fighting as a stepping stone to the big leagues. We are honored to have been a part of their adventure.
We have introduced grappling fights in the last few Reality Fighting events. These matches only have a winner if a submission is made. If no one submits, the match is declared a draw. This structure has resulted in many fierce, entertaining contests that fans like.
