Ontario Reign Information
The Ontario Reign debuted as an American Hockey League (AHL) professional ice hockey team during the 2015–16 season. Home games are played at the Toyota Arena by the Ontario, California-based franchise, which is connected with the Los Angeles Kings of the National Hockey League.
As one of five original teams to join the American Hockey League's brand-new Pacific Division, the Manchester Monarchs relocated from Los Angeles to Ontario on January 29, 2015. From their time in the Eastern Conference, the Reign were the team's moniker.
The Manchester Monarchs AHL club moved to its new home in 2015 as part of a larger expansion into the Pacific Division. The squad is among Anschutz Entertainment Group's holdings.
The original Manchester Monarchs played in Manchester, New Hampshire, from 2008 until 2015 when they relocated to become the Reign. The first club participated in the Eastern Conference.
John Wroblewski took over as head coach over the offseason after Stothers' contract was not renewed. In light of the 2020–21 postponed season, the Reign have stated that, for the time being, they will play their home games on the Kings' practice rink. All of the Reign's home games closed to spectators were held at the Sports Center.
