Macon Veterans Cup Information
The Macon Mayhem announced the creation of the Macon Veterans Cup on Wednesday in collaboration with Visit Macon, Spectra, and the SECHC. To honor all who have served in the military, the Macon Veterans Cup will be a yearly club hockey competition held on the weekend of Veterans Day.
The Macon Veterans Cup is awarded to the squad having the best win-loss record after the competition. In the event of a tie in win-loss percentage, several tiebreakers, such as head-to-head competitions or "goals against," are used to determine the victor.
The South Eastern Collegiate Hockey Conference oversees the event, which is run in accordance with the Collegiate Hockey Federation's rules. The group claims that the Macon Veterans Cup would not be possible without Spectra's outstanding assistance. The Macon Coliseum and Macon City Auditorium are managed by Spectra, which is essential to the survival and expansion of hockey in Middle Georgia.
