Livermore Rodeo Information
The Livermore Rodeo is an annual rodeo held in Livermore, California, on the second full weekend in June at the rodeo grounds in Robertson Park. It is part of the world-renowned California 6-Pack Rodeo Circuit and is also the oldest event in Livermore. Notable rodeo stars attend the event, and filmmakers frequently use it as a location or backdrop.
In 1918, when the Red Cross desperately needed funding for World War I, the state of California charged each city and municipality $1,200 to raise the necessary sums. John McGlinchey, who was president of the Livermore Stockman's Protective Association at the time, proposed a rodeo as a means of raising funds.
Beginning in 1918, it was called the World's Fastest Rodeo. Thousands of people visit it every year to see thrilling activities like bull riding, barrel racing, and team roping. It is kind of a tradition of the town and unites everyone to have fun.
The Livermore Rodeo has become a tradition for many families. It contains such activities as a parade, a princess competition, and a team branding mixer. Rodeo is one of the best ways to feel the atmosphere of the Wild West in the center of California.
In 2025, Livermore Rodeo was held on July 6-7 at Livermore Valley Stadium. There were excellent rodeo competitions, such as bull riding and barrel racing, that delighted the fans. The gates were opened at 11:00 a.m. and the grand entry commenced at 3:00 p.m. It was a weekend full of fun, food, and excitement for everyone!
