Kingston Frontenacs Information
A junior ice hockey club from Kingston, Ontario, Canada, known as the Kingston Frontenacs, plays in the Ontario Hockey League. The 2008-built Slush Puppie Place hosts home games for the Frontenacs. Before the Ontario Hockey League was formed in 1945, a team was called the Kingston Victorias. From 1973–74 until 1987–88, this same Frontenacs franchise was known as the Kingston Canadians in the Ontario Hockey Association.
This Frontenacs team has been without a title for the fourth longest time in CHL history and second longest in the Ontario Hockey League (behind the Sudbury Wolves by a year). In 1994–95 and 2015–16, the Frontenacs were the OHL East Division champions, earning them the Leyden Trophy. After making it to the Eastern Conference Final in 1992–1993, the Frontenacs were defeated by the Peterborough Petes. Kingston fell to the Hamilton Bulldogs in the 2017–18 Eastern Conference final, marking the second time they reached that level in club history.
