The Ivy League men's basketball tournament is the league's postseason conference event for men's basketball. It debuted in 2017 and shares the same location as the Ivy Women's event, also inaugurated that year. Ivy Madness is the current name for the entire event. The absence of a playoff tournament was last seen in the Ivy League, an NCAA Division I league.

All four schools who finished first, second, and third in their respective regular season standings advance to the event, which is structured as a single-elimination tournament. The first day, Saturday, has two semifinal matches: the top seed takes on the fourth seed, while the second seed faces the third seed. The title game is played the following day, Sunday. The club or team will retain the title of Ivy League champion with the best record at the end of the 14-game conference regular season.

Regarding the ongoing pandemic issues, the Ivy League scraped the 2020–21 season. In 2022, Harvard hosted the event again; in 2023, Princeton was the next host. Columbia, not Brown, will host the Ivy League tournament in 2024, as the league confirmed in February 2023, reversing the previously stated sequence. The Ivy League announced another scheduling modification in February 2024. In 2025, Dartmouth will host, followed by Cornell in 2026 and Brown in 2027.
