EnduroCross Information
SuperEnduro, also known as Endurocross or Enduro-X, is a thrilling form of motorcycle racing that blends the best of supercross and enduro. Unlike traditional outdoor races, SuperEnduro takes place indoors on a course that mirrors the course of a trial. These high-octane competitions are often held in ice hockey arenas or scaled-down basketball courts, adding a unique twist to the sport. The races themselves are a sight to behold, with the speed and agility of a supercross race combined with the technical challenges of an enduro race.
The FIM Indoor Enduro World Cup was established in 2007 by the FIM. It was renamed the FIM Indoor Enduro World Championship in 2009 and is now known as the FIM SuperEnduro World Championship.
Eric Peronnard, responsible for the US Open of Motocross and the Supercross Paris-Bercy, developed super enduro in the United States. Once known as EnduroCross, it took place in Las Vegas, Nevada's Orleans Arena, as a one-time-only event. The AMA EnduroCross Championship was added to the race in 2007.
For the X Games Los Angeles 2011 and 2012, an AMA EnduroCross competition was included. There were endurocross events at all four summer X Games in 2013, although they didn't count toward the AMA EnduroCross Championship. Peronnard likewise coordinates endurocross competitions at the X Games.
