Zoe Wees is a German singer. She was born in Hamburg, Germany. Wees spent his childhood there. She has experienced social isolation, powerlessness, and a lack of agency due to the symptoms of benign rolandic epilepsy (BRE). Wees are regulars at the keyboard and guitar. Wees went to school at the Dulsberg institution known as Grund- und Stadtteilschule Alter Teichweg.
Wees has been composing songs in English since he was a young boy. In high school, a teacher approached her after a performance and asked if they might work with her musically. Wees competed on The Voice Kids: Season 5 at the beginning of 2017. In the Blind Auditions, Wees was on pop singer Sasha's squad. Wees was voted off the show during the Sing-Offs, the third and final round of the competition's five-part format. Wees dropped "Control" on March 13, 2020.
The song is about her struggle with benign rolandic epilepsy, generalized anxiety disorder, and feelings of helplessness. The inspiration for the song came from a desire to express gratitude to the elementary school teacher who helped shape her into the person she is today. As part of her debut EP Golden Wings, released on May 21 via Capitol Records, Wees dropped the song "Ghost" on April 19.
