Zakk Sabbath Information
Zakk Sabbath was formed in 2014 by Zakk Wylde, the longtime guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne, as a tribute to the music of Black Sabbath. He wanted to keep the spirit of classic heavy metal alive by performing songs from one of the most important metal bands ever. Wylde sings and plays guitar in the group. He is joined by Joey Castillo on drums, who has played with Queens of the Stone Age and Danzig, and John “JD” DeServio on bass, who also plays with Wylde in Black Label Society. Their sound is loud, heavy, and full of energy, just like the old days of rock.
The band has released a few albums that pay tribute to Black Sabbath’s music. In 2020, they came out with Vertigo, a full cover of Black Sabbath’s first album. In 2024, they released another tribute album, titled Doomed Forever Forever Doomed, which features more Sabbath classics. That same year, they also released Greatest Riffs, which features famous songs like “Iron Man,” “War Pigs,” and “N.I.B.” These albums helped the band grow a loyal fan base that loves hearing these songs played live with power and passion.
In 2025, Zakk Sabbath is embarking on a major U.S. tour titled the American Winter Tour. It kicks off on October 30 in Rancho Mirage, California, and ends on December 16 in San Diego. They will visit cities like Sacramento, Tulsa, Columbus, and Brooklyn. On select dates, they will be joined by bands such as Bonfire, Use Your Illusion, and Dark Chapel. Fans all over the country are excited to see them bring classic metal songs back to the stage.
