Yacht Rock Review Information
Yacht Rock Revue is an Atlanta based cover band formed in 2007 and emphasizing on soft rock music. This rock band was made by the famous members of indie rock band Y-O-U (now defunct). Yacht Rock Revue band’s setlist revolves around a music genre called “Yacht Rock” (a piece of soft rock music). This band was initiated as a side project by the band members, but now it is focused as the main band. There are seven members included in the group; Nicholas Niespodziani, Peter Olson, Mark Cobb, Greg Lee, Mark Dannells, David Freeman, and Mark Bencuya.
Yacht Rock Revue has signed an on-going contract with Live Nation. It tours nationally while playing 100 above shows annually and selling out theaters in Boston, Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Atlanta. To cope-up with high band demand, another subsidiary band was produced known as Yacht Rock Schooner in 2009.
Yacht Rock Revue is responsible for hosting an annual concert named The Yacht Rock Revival, where the original bands are invited to play a few songs joining this band. The first revival concert took place in 2011 (in the parking lot at Andrews Entertainment Complex), attended by around 1000 people. The Revival was also held at the State Bank Amphitheater in Chastain Park in 2018. This concert was presented to a sold-out crowd of 6,000+ attendees.
Yacht Rock Revue has been sharing the stage with several popular bands and artists for many years including Elliot Lurie (Looking Glass), Walter Egan, Peter Beckett (Player), Robbie Dupree, Bobby Kimball, Bouchard (Blue Öyster Cult), Denny Laine (Wings), and a few more.
