Xavier Rudd Information
Xavier Rudd (May 29, 1978) is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, arranger, and musician from Australia born in Torquay, Victoria. Spirituality, humanity, ecology, and Indigenous Australian rights are just a few of the socially aware topics in Rudd's music. Among his seven siblings, Rudd always had a special place in his heart for music. As a young child, Rudd began playing his brother's guitar and repurposed his mother's vacuum cleaner into a didgeridoo. As a kid, he was also good at the clarinet and saxophone.
Rudd started selling discarded wood furniture when he was a kid. Rudd departed for Fiji a short time after completing his education. At nineteen, he returned to Australia after spending nine months living in various areas nationwide. Rudd made his big label debut with the 2004 release of Solace, distributed by Universal Music Australia. Rudd did not enlist any musicians to contribute to the album; instead, he played every instrument and did only a few overdubs.
The news broke in April 2021 that Rudd had inked a deal with Virgin Music Australia, which had just changed its name. "Stoney Creek" is the debut song from Rudd's upcoming tenth studio album, which was released on June 17, 2021. The third track off Rudd's eleventh studio album, Jan Juc Moon, "Ball and Chain," was released in January 2022. In 2022, for the song "Stoney Creek" from 2021, Rudd was awarded the Environmental Music Prize. "Road Trippin'" was Rudd's first single, released in July 2023.
